General Discussion [RANT] Man, all these people in the Denver sub are talking about the need for "smart bullets", "fingerprint activated receivers", making legal gun owners register themselves, their guns, and their bullets. Yet somehow...
They let a criminal student with a lengthy history, who needed DAILY PATDOWNS as part of a "safety plan" to still attend the fucking school?! How the fuck are you allowed to attend school when you have been deemed such a threat , you need daily fucking patdowns? I literally don't understand. It's baffling, and apparently not uncommon... That six year old who shot his teacher immediately comes to mind.
Also they voted to get rid of SROs in recent years for * checks notes * equity... Well, armed SROs are coming back as of today. Turns out they were a good deterrent.
They will continue to attempt to gaslight everyone into thinking that legal, responsible gun owners are somehow more responsible for these actions than anyone else. What about the shooter, his family, or the staff for having such a dangerous individual still attending a large school with other people? How many of these shooters had a long documented history of red flags? The cognitive dissonance around safety is hard for wrap my head around
Don't they know it's already illegal for a 17 year old to posses a handgun, bring it to a public high school, and shoot two school administrators? Maybe if someone explained it to the kid, he would have slowed his roll and pumped his brakes.🙄
Bonus insight from a "law abiding gun owner in Denver" .
God damn Colorado, you're lucky you're an S tier state even with your increasingly restrictive gun laws.

Satire BAN ASSAULT VEHICLES
Tens of thousands of people every year are killed and injured by dangerous assault vehicles. The fact anyone can buy one of these vehicles through private purchase without a driver's license or insurance and then get into a fatal wreck is a loophole that needs to be closed. Anyone can drink and drive so let's require breathalyzers in every vehicle. There's no reason anyone should drive a vehicle over 55mph either, only the military and LEO should be able to. They should have GPS tracking so they can be remotely disabled in the event of a crime since lots of crime is commited inside of or with the use of these assault vehicles.

Question Anyone know what this block is behind the hammer of this colt sporter in 7.62x39?
From the outside it looks like that suspicious third hole but I'm not sure what it does.

Question What’s the oldest gun you’ve ever worked on? Currently taking down and cleaning a very old Marlin 1898

Interesting 1930s gun camera for a revolver. Takes 6 photos on a rotating drum, each activated by pulling the trigger. I feel like this would be easily achievable today, and help a lot in self defense cases. Maybe make one as a kit that attaches to accessory rails.

What's next?
How's my build looking?
Added a threaded barrel last, now thinking about which compensator to go with...
Or should I just call it a day and upgrade the trigger already?
Feedback/Opinions appreciated.

There seems to be a lot of misinformation regarding school shootings in the United States. Data collected by the FBI shows that actual school shootings are rare.

Question Best Home Defense Platform?
Looking to get a home defense gun but not sure what to get. I thought about getting the mossberg shockwave but I live in an apartment and concerned about over penetration. Just looking for advice and education on this.
