I picked up a Lee Enfield 'Jungle Carbine' awhile ago and I'm so excited to go shoot it. That one's for fun

Yeah, they're cool, not particularly good, but neat

Hey I don't need it to be good. I just need it to go bang and stay in one solid piece

It's a historic gun and a fairly rare one at that. Enough justification to pick one up in my book

If you wanna talk about fun historic guns I'm lucky enough to own a Spencer 1884. I'm scared to shoot that thing but I also cannot wait to finally shoot it. (With AA Extra light load of course)

I haven't even seen one of those in real live before. Have fun, take care and don't kentucky ballistics yourself

I didn't even think they were real until I saw it and picked it up. But hey out of all the ways to go, blowing myself up with a 140 year old shotgun seems like one of the better ones.

In all seriousness I want to try to get a professional gunsmith to take a deep look at it to ensure it's all good to go. I really love old guns if you couldn't tell (I love history and especially firearms throughout history. I just think they're neat). Only thing about the gun that concerns' me is the pump is missing it's front ring meaning I can just kinda pull the pump forward and off the gun if I go to hard. But that's not really a function issue and more of a "well that killed the mood" issue. From the little self tests I've done it cycles a full load, and strikes each shell perfectly (tested using dummy shells), it's barrel is stable and straight and nothing on the firearm itself is loose or obviously a concern. But since I'm not a professional I still want to get one to check it out

You still like it though.

I want a Lee enfield so badly, I kind of looked over it, but 1917 made me fall in love with it

Absolutely. I own both and have an irrational love for my Lee but the 1917 is the objectively better rifle in every way

We need a real Kel-Tec/M&P crossover to go full Bubba drug lord.

The M&P stand for Meth and PabstBlueRibbon?

I mean, someone's gotta compete with Kel-tec

Do they though? Kel Tec has carved out their only little niche. They're not taking the firearms world by storm, they're just getting by.

S&W deciding to compete (read : rip off) Kel Tec feels like punching down. It's like S&W admitting they know they'll never compete with Glock or Sig. It's like a dude realizing he'll never swim as fast as the really fast dudes, so he decides to become a chick to beat up on them.

S&W stopped being cool when they stopped making Hillary hole-less blued revolvers

I'd be a lot more interested in the folding thing if it took Glock mags.

With a few changes, I'd fuck with it.
