When i played martian gothic unification, some of the enemies would turn into shadow people and have unlimited health. Horrifying lol. Another notable glitch i experienced was when playing so2, claudes head splitter attack would launch him hundreds of feet in the air, way above the playing field. Cant really think of any game changing random glitches ive seen over the years.

Hi everyone! I'm having difficulty obtaining working backup copies. The background game audio is often corrupted.

I'm seriously starting to think that this hardware is the cause of the corrupted CDs.

External CD burners can be a viable alternative? Other than that, is Alcohol 120% the best software? Thanks a lot for your help.

Hello everybody, I just joined as you all seem like a very knowledgeable bunch when it comes to this console line.

My dad's PS1 model SCPH-7501, the same one I played growing up, recently had the disc drive die on me with the motor no longer running and the glue holding together the disc retaining mechanism having its glue/seal fail. This isn't the first time it has failed as I pulled one from a donor unit when it failed previously after a decade of no use.

I saw a similar post asking about viable replacement options with the KSM-440BAM from the PSOne being the recommendation but I only keep finding knockoffs online.

Seeing as it seems like this is all I'll be able to find, I'm wondering if there is a specific reproduction or seller anyone would recommend going through that tends to stock reliable replacements for this part.
