In case you have not heard. Reddit API changes will be killing most 3rd party apps, and many of our favorite bots.. They are looking to start charging for API access, which is not uncommon. However reports say they are charging 15-20x more than other sites (such as IMGUR) to do so. One example is that Apollo says they would be looking at ~$20,000,000/yr to stay running.

To that end a large number of subs are going private. Some for 2 days, some for a week, some until the changes are fixed.

This API change would also affect some of our subs beloved bots. These bots use API calls to work, and would either have to start paying, or shut down.

As for modding, some of our mods use 3rd party apps, some do not. And as for you, the users, well you know what app(s) you use.
