Friendly reminder that trying to fight someone online is about as effective as throwing a bagel at a bulldozer. A lot of what we talk about gets people pretty emotional, but be mad at policies, not other users.

Trump isn’t going to be arrested…

Source: Trump said he would be arrested and literally nothing he’s ever said has come true.

That is my exact thought. He has never told the truth, what makes people think he would start now?

IIRC, he grifted his morons for an extra $1.5 million for that lie.

That would explain why Republicans want to see it. They seem to love worrying about other peoples' genitals.

Hunter's laptop.

Sure Hunter’s laptop - and it was stolen by a conservative. Which is why Fox made up a nonsense story about how it was “lost” on its way to Fox.

Fox realized it was stolen and wanted nothing to do with stolen property.

But, yeah, the real issue here is Hunter’s nudes.

Hunter Biden is currently in the process of suing over it. The store owner put some fine print at the bottom of the contract saying you have 90 days to pick it up... but in Delaware the law is one year. (Delaware consumer protection laws that exist for this very reason.) Also even if the store owner could just 'take it' after a year (or 90 days for that matter), there is no law saying he has any right to the digital data on it. It's a REALLY gray area, and any reputable shop would just wipe the drive. (I wouldn't even call it a gray area - it's straight up illegal but it's possible he has something in the contract - which I think can be voided just by the fact that it tried to alter Delaware law - that protects him.)

Remember when Matt Gaetz insisted it was entered into the congressional record? If it turns out that it was stolen, in a normal word that would spark a bigger national debate than Watergate. You now have a Republican insisting illegal, stolen data was entered into the Congressional record.
