Please read below text in full and then leave a comment in this thread to apply. Mods who break any of the below rules are liable to be immediately removed even (especially) if they were just added - please don't comment without reading:
Mods should do the following:
Mark spam as spam (no comment needed).
1.a. (optional) add the spammer to automod's shadowban list and report them to /r/reddit.com.
Remove rulebreaking submissions. All removals, except spam, should be followed by a distinguished comment (not a private message, a comment) stating the rule broken. If the broken rule is obvious, OP may be directed to just read the sidebar but the comment should still be left.
Don't use distinguished comments for anything that doesn't have to do with moderation.
Don't break any sidebar/reddit rules yourself (e.g. don't insult people), in modmail or the subreddit.
Don't remove posts and comments that don't break rules even if you disagree with or dislike what's posted or you think it should be against a rule. If you think a new rule needs to be added, start a vote in modmail and leave the content alone.
Participate in moderation democratically. Don't unilaterally go against (undo) mod decisions unless there has been discussion or updates to or new info about the content the mod acted on. Don't make major sub changes without a vote and a week for mods to chime in. Put the word "wonder" somewhere in the comment that you leave as a reply to this post you're reading now, to signify that you've read and agree to everything here.
All bans, except for spam, should be made with a note to the mods and a message sent to the user. Both of these notes have to include a link to content that breaks the rules and the text of whatever rule that was broken. No users, except spammers, should be receiving just the default message when they are banned.
Contribute at least 1 mod action a month to the moderation effort (remove/approve something that needs it).
Be OK with being removed from the modlist if you don't do the above.
Have an old account with a fair bit of commenting history. Having rule-abiding comment/submission history in this sub would obviously be preferable -- it would be nice if you could let me know that you do in your reply.
Note: please leave comments here rather than PMing me or sending modmails. If you PM/modmail, it gets way too confusing trying to keep track of everything.
My price limit is $25 and I’m struggling to find something that would be a hit with men and women from about 25-60yrs old. What’s the best white elephant gift you have seen? One that’s so hot it’s the first one to be stolen and locked in?

It's a long-distance relationship. And I'm focusing more on giving best gift/acts to show IF he fails so that it could give him at least some serotonin (as he won't be getting it from other sources I think) & will help him to anchor his conscience while going through failure. It's hard to think what to give him if he fails than gifting him for his success.
Keep in mind this guy can't take money from me for personal reasons. Also, I believe I'm an artistic person which might be helpful in gifts/acts. But any other ideas (be it, creative, philosophical, mental support etc.) to break his mental breakdown from failure is appreciated!

We are playing secret santa at my workplace this year and the person I was assigned is an asian female coworker around 19-20 years old. I asked her cousin what she might like and her response was “makeup”. I have next to zero experience buying makeup and I wanna make sure I get her something nice and useable while still being in the budget (minimum 20 dollars). I don’t mind going a bit over and I would appreciate any pointers.
