r/progun Notice Regarding Violence
For those unaware, this morning, the fascistic leftwing hate sub known as “againsthatesubreddits” targeted r/progun with a misleading, incorrect and defaming claim that we endorse calls for violence against politicians and are actively plotting to commit such acts.
To be clear, no. We absolutely do not condone comments that call for assault/murder of anyone, we don’t condone the sentiment behind such comments, and we do not tolerate them being posted here.
But in my haste to counteract the false narrative being spun up which risked getting the sub shut down, I failed to consider how my words could be interpreted by individuals here who are both weary of overbearing moderators cuckolding themselves to anti-free speech policies and are sensitive to their liberties being trampled.
So let’s be utterly, perfectly clear.
Discussing violence as a topic, discussing violence as it pertains to war, self defense, or history, is NOT the same as suggesting that we should murder politicians or people we disagree with.
There is an element of judgement on the part of the mod team here and we will do our best to make the right call. But for comments suggesting we hang anti-gun politicians and along those lines, there isn’t much debate to be had.
In situations like this, if you feel we’re over-correcting, maybe we are. If we wait for Reddit to act first, it’s too late. Once the sub is banned they are NOT likely to change their minds. So immediate action is required, and immediate action is sloppy.
Do not promote or encourage violence as a means to further a political agenda. If your comments can be construed as glorifying violence as a way to satiate your anger or frustration, if your comments can be interpreted as incitement of violent acts against others, if it seems as though you are eager and happy to hurt or kill people for any reason at all, you will be permanently banned.
Don’t joke about it, don’t bitch at the moderators about it. Several people got banned just for their shitty response to all of this. We’re all eating a shit sandwich here on this leftwing activist website and we’re just doing our best to keep the crushing floodwaters of radical leftism at bay as long as we can. A modicum of patience and understanding goes a long way.
Understand that we have the best intentions to stand up for ALL of our constitutional rights, but in order to have our discussions take place where brainwashed leftists might potentially be exposed to logic and reality, we’ve got to play by the rules. Not only that, but if you think killing people because you disagree with them is cool, you’re part of the problem and are unwelcome here.
Thanks.

Hypocrisy
The anti gun people seem to think that “it’s the gun! Yeah the gun is the problem!” It’s really simple. An estimated 660,000 people die of heart disease, 49% is from obesity. Are you gonna ban McDonalds or make laws on how long your burger is and if it’s too long you can’t put multiple cheese slices, and if you do than you have to pay the government 200 dollars a month. It’s not the gun, it’s the people. They wanna make a difference, improve the people, then work on the guns. Because there aren’t gonna be that many problems if people can fix themselves. And the fact that I have to say “No you’re not fine, you’re not perfect how you are.” Is shameful.

ATF Pistol Brace Rule: An “Experiment of your Disposition”
Legislation In light of the recent debates on national debt, I say our “representatives” vote to defund the BATFE.
It would probably not be a giant hit to the national debt, but it would be a seriously good start. It would also solve quite a few lawsuits, pretty much overnight.

Question What made you take up the pro-gun stance?
For me, it was 5 years ago. As I was closing down the grocery store I worked at in a pretty safe neighborhood by all accounts, a guy walked in. He was 5 minutes away from closing time, but I couldn’t turn away a client. He kept close to the register, grabbing a pack of gum and asking for a Marlboro. As I asked him for his credit card, he pulled out a semi-automatic on me and said that if I didn’t empty the cash box, he’d empty the magazine.
I was making minimum wage ($4.00/hr) and was scared to death, so my brain wasn’t tuned into reacting to the threat beyond giving into his demands. I could see on his face that the guy was deliberating shooting, but he just told me to walk in front of him and lock the door as he left. I did that and circled back to the counter to call the police. Took ‘em about 7 minutes. That’s very quick, yet more than enough time to bleed out to death in case you get shot up.
That overwhelming feeling of helplessness and injustice sealed it for me. Never again was I gonna have my life in some scumbag’s hands. A couple of weeks later, me and my buddy are driving off to a gun range to sharpen our teeth and get a feel of what it’s like to hold a gun in your hands.
Firing a gun was actually pretty cathartic. I tried guns and rifles to see if I would come by something that would really speak to me. I was living in a gun-friendly state, so we’re never short on stock and variety. The range owner was pretty connected, boasting an impressive range of assets from the likes of https://www.gunbuyer.com/ & https://bulkmunitions.com/.
It’s scary-funny how 5 minutes can change your entire worldview on something. I’m originally from a place where guns aren’t considered the norm. My folks never felt comfortable discussing gun ownership or the 2A. And maybe that’s OK for the environment we were living in. Out here where I’ve been for the past 10+ years, taking this kind of stance just doesn’t always gel with the reality you’re liable to face. Who knows how many late-shift working saps had it a lot worse than I did?
What’s your life-changing experience been like?

The actual purpose of the FPC "injunction."
For those of you who are signing up with FPC, I have a question. What is the actual purpose of signing up? Do we really trust the ATF to check and see who is or isn't a member before raiding someone's house? Is this even considered protection against being raided, or protection against being locked up for ten years after a raid (assuming you and your family survive the raid)? Short of the ATF being handed the list (or hacking the FPC for said list), is the ATF even capable of discerning FPC member vs non-FPC member when targeting who they intend to tyrannize that day? I'm not belittling anyone for signing up, but I was just curious what people thought signing up would actually accomplish. Those of us in the 2A community who care about preserving our rights for the next generation can't afford to be lulled into a false sense of security at the eleventh hour before day zero.

Legislation What are the implication of Sackett v EPA on the ATF and its various “interpretations”?

I gave an attempt to read through, but any deeper meaning is lost on me; but too much legal-speak and sentence breaks for sources for me to read it easily.

Based protection with a side of trolling.
So I been thinking about some stuffs.
Everyone's been rushing to join FPC for $30 because it covers all members of FCP and Maxim Defense customers.
But what if there's a cheaper more trollish way. Like FPC, the court didn't say you had to be a member/customer before the injunction for it to apply. In theory and in my personal opinion, you could be new customer today and be covered. They also didn't say you had to buy a brace from Maxim, just be a customer.
The devil's in the details.
Maxim sells a lot of stuff. The cheapest being a $7 beer koozie. 7 bucks. Boom. Beers cold. You're a Maxim Defense customer now.
Stay based, kings.
This is not legal advice, I'm not a lawyer, and if you take legal advice from you are stealing yada yada yada yada ALPHABET GOIS GO ON GIT RRRREEEEEEEEEEEE.
