“There are men in this world who go about demanding to be killed. You must have noticed them. They quarrel in gambling games, they jump out of their automobiles in a rage if someone so much as scratches their fender, they humiliate and bully people whose capabilities they do not know. I have seen a man, a fool, deliberately infuriate a group of dangerous men, and he himself without any resources. These are people who wander through the world shouting, ‘Kill me! Kill me!’ And there is always somebody ready to oblige them” — Mario Puzo’s The Godfather.

That’s at a Quik Trip that security guard probably makes a decent wage. I believe they start store employees at $18/hr now in Oklahoma which is significant

u/Specialist-Box-9711 4d ago
QT pays those dudes like $35/hr to be security

That guard deserves $35. The aggressor kept saying he was going to shoot him and the guard didn’t fight or flight. He’s probably a ninja

If you didn't catch it, him saying "with what" was trying to get him to reveal or admit to having a firearm. If he's being threatened with a firearm, that immediately gives him permission to subdue.

u/tragiktimes 4d ago
Also adding to the "broke ass" part. If he had a firearm, he probably would have pawned it.

The high pay rate offerings are typically for “security or law enforcement professionals.” So, depending on state and how risky the location, most of those guys are special duty cops, or cops off duty who are allowed to work security for local businesses.
54
u/Specialist-Box-9711 4d ago
Security professionals also references people with experience. Not necessarily a cop.

Yep QT guards Get 30 a hour, the company is sick of losing money in stolen items so they are paying guards. And I know people will say "but its all insured" thats not how it works. One QT loses close to 70k in liquor a year, add that to every QT and guess how much they lose in total a year.

Elementary school teacher by day, bartender at a biker bar by night.

Came here to say this. He's been carrying around 200lbs extra, every single day. Under that fluff, he's probably got more total muscle mass than that guy.
And the guard could crush this "difficult customer's" bones just by falling on him.
Now the other guy could just... run. Leave. Like he should. Like he's being told.
But so long as he keeps stepping up, cornfed lad might not 'win' the fight, but the lad would make sure there are no winners in that fight.

317
u/HumanoidThaiphoon 4d ago
Ex-C.O. here, peckerwoods are Arian gang variants. White supremest that always fight against other races. Peckerwoods are proud to BE peckerwoods so it’s not an insult to them really. This guys isn’t (I’m assuming) a peckerwood but is white and the little dude has nothing else on him.
48
u/OverUnder101 4d ago
It is and isn’t an insult. Depends on the situation…the white dude isn’t in prison, so in this case it’s intended to be a racist slur/ insult.

It’s like an old timey slur for white person, like cracker. If you’ve ever watched Back to the Future, when the enchantment under the sea dance is happening, the band is in their car smoking, and a white guy runs up and calls one of them a spook. Then the rest of the band, all black guys, comes out of car and goes, “Who you calling a spook, peckerwood?” And then the peckerwood fucks off.

Why exactly would they bother harassing a random security guard?
→ More replies155
u/Cmsvex 4d ago
Because people who are “thugs” think that harassing random people and causing trouble makes them cool or gives them street cred. That’s my personal opinion but that’s what I’ve gathered watching videos like this. What do I know though, I’m just a cracker lol

Meat and potatoes kinda strength, knew a kid in highschool. Biggest person I ever met. We we're on the same football team. He Would eat a loaf of bread before workouts and drink a pint of chocolate milk, I swear to God. I am 200lbs. And he picked me up one day (leg injury) and PRINCESS CARRIED ME TO the sidelines without even showing the slightest bit of fatigue or wear. Went to help his family with putting hay bales in the loft, his grandparents came to the same church as my mom and well she sighed me right up for help. Wasn't the least bit surprised watching him pick a hay bale over his shoulder and just lug it about. Man was a certified work horse. Passive as all hell though. That kind of strength is a blessing and the blessing is these people will let us walk away rather than put our money where our mouth is. Cuz they could make us.
